Meet Our Kunekune Pigs

Update: We are currently selling AKKPS registered pigs! Please contact for more info.

Our kunekune pigs graze in the tree farm we are establishing.  They do not root nor do they eat the leaves on trees, which makes them the perfect fit for this area on our property.  To this point we have raised kunekunes solely for meat, but we purchased a herd of registered kune pigs this past fall and now have registered kunekune piglets available.  The kunekune breed is the perfect pig for acreages and homesteads.

What We Offer

Meat

We have a selection of frozen and dried sausages available, as well as prosciutto.  The meat is from the Duroc-Berkshire pigs we raised outdoors. The sausages are gluten-free and have no binders, fillers, or nitrates.  All the meat was cured using only smoke, salt, and spices. We will be processing our pigs this January, for more information please contact us.

The prices are as follows:

Sausages (4 per pack) $8

Breakfast sausages (8 per pack) $8

Dried Sausages (4 per pack) $10

Proscuitto $6/100g

About the Breed

Kunekune pigs are the perfect homestead breed.  Kunekune translates to "fat and round" in the Maori language.  They are medium sized hairy pigs, with the females maturing around 150-175lbs, and the males around 200lbs. Kunekunes are docile and gentle, and ours will often flop over at our feet for belly rubs. They have a short, upturned snout making them a wonderful grazing pig as they are unable to root the same as traditional pigs.  Kunekune pigs are a heritage breed which originated in New Zealand and have recently gained popularity throughout North America.
